It really is so much easier (and cuddlier) to have breastfeeding to fall back on, but I'm learning as we transition to fewer nursing sessions (I'm pregnant and my milk has dried up) that I can still mother without it. And it's comforting to know that.Lauren Waynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07500733577920040395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1168618921375018234.post-85510449571911723352011-02-09T08:54:49.553-05:002011-02-09T08:54:49.553-05:00Breastfeeding is totally amazing isn't it? It's funny that it is such a powerful symbol for attachment parenting, and yet, you're totally right that it is not the be-all-and-end-all of parenting. As long as we have love, there's always a way :)hey redhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14066142818411156764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1168618921375018234.post-79978599122208717352011-02-08T09:42:29.741-05:002011-02-08T09:42:29.741-05:00"the milk of my heart" - I love this lin..."the milk of my heart" - I love this line! And I agree - I'm well aware that I could mother Kieran just as well without breastfeeding, but it's hard to imagine life without it.<br /><br />~Dionna @ Code Name: MamaDionna @ Code Name: Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12463687059904219224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1168618921375018234.post-65651197945482132092011-02-08T09:20:24.211-05:002011-02-08T09:20:24.211-05:00I really love this: "I feed my babies with li...I really love this: "I feed my babies with liquid love." <br /><br />I'm so glad you have had such a positive experience with breastfeeding. It is so beautiful when you see a mother feeding her child. I am thankful for my breast everyday and will be sad the day they no longer have milk. I really enjoy breastfeeding.
